Cambridge Hen Party Ideas
Boat races, stunning vistas and university dons – that’s not all this city has to offer your hen party. Cambridge is an increasingly popular hen party destination, a beautiful, vibrant university town that will wow you and your girls!
When most people think of Cambridge, the first things that spring to mind are elite universities, rowing and sipping Pimm’s by the river… but this town has much more to offer. As you’re in a famous university town, those hen parties who want to bask in its academic glory can head to the University of Cambridge’s Fitzwilliam Museum, which holds world-class art and antiquities (and is free to enter). Following it up with a gander round Kettle’s Yard, a major centre for contemporary and 20th century art will definitely give you your culture fix.
A beautiful town, Cambridge offer a plethora of outdoor pursuits that are ideal for a hen weekend with a bit of al fresco action. With bike tours and walking tours, you can enjoy the medieval architecture of the city in a number of ways. To enjoy Cambridge at its best, have a punt down the River Cam and follow that up with a picnic on the banks of the river (and treat yourself to that Pimm’s). During the summer, the town hosts ‘Summer in the City’, which provides a programme of outdoor concerts and theatre that can be enjoyed in the open air. There are no shortage of speciality festivals in Cambridge including the Folk Festival, Beer Festival, the Big Weekend and the Secret Garden Party – so be sure to check out whether your hen party falls on these dates.
Foodies will have a field day in Cambridge which houses the Michelin starred Midsummer House, and a host of modern British cuisine inspired options like Alimentum. Vegans should make a beeline for the Rainbow Cafe. Post dinner, let you hair down by heading to the Fountain or Baroosh Bar.

Gill C, for burlesque hen party DundeeI wanted to thank Eva L’Amour for helping us have probably one of the best nights out ever – the party was amazing and my hubby was gobsmacked when he saw the pictures of me with nipple tassels on (I’m not a bad twirler as it happens!). Our sides were splitting by the end of the night.
